Talk about spending the weekend holiday in this small beach at the tip of Bataan. Located in the town of Mariveles, Agwawan Beach has a short stretch of brown sandy beach. What's so special about this beach is that, during the monsoon and typhoon seasons, almost all of the sand on the shore, retires to the sea and only comes back towards the end of the monsoon season which is usually November to December.
But regardless of the time of the year, this public beach is one's quick getaway from the stresses of daily living. It's free, you don't have to rent a cottage and most of all, you get to take nice photos especially in the sunset. So if you're on a tight budget and you're looking for a quick vitamin sea dip, Agwawan is the beach for you.
